TUTORIAL How
To Create Web Markers in Premiere 6Using timeline markers to create interactivity Last time I introduced Timeline Markers and how they could be useful to help quickly create edits for music vignettes. This time we will quickly explore the Timeline Markers a little further and see how they can be used to launch Web pages for your streaming media. The new support for Timeline Markers in Premiere 6 is an excellent addition, particularly for those who use multimedia elements on their sites for informational materials-demonstrations, how-to articles, technical documentation, etc. With just a minor amount of effort, you can build into your video content-QuickTime, Real or Windows Media-elements that can explain or demonstrate concepts and ideas that could take pages and pages of text to explain. Hollywood DV-BridgeBringing analog video into the DV world Weird things happened when Digital Video gained popularity. Since the invention of videotape, companies had been spending millions to make video look better and better. Professionals were constantly awed at NAB whenever a new piece of gear produced pristine images. Quality was the No. 1 concern, and, having worked for a major television network, I was brainwashed into accepting nothing but pristine video. Editors developed eagle-sharp eyes, and any microscopic flaw was reason for concern. OPINION Talkin' Smack: Your NAB Agenda Buffy's in, baseball is out by Michael Alberts Thanks Darryl and the people at Aurora. So, of course, it's NAB time again. With or without the major broadcast networks' support, the event continues, its significance undiminished by the pullout of CBS over differences of opinion on the O&O issue. Still the industry gets together and confers with itself as always; new technologies emerge to replace the old (or at least the promise to replace the old some time within the next year, give or take a few years) as always; and the show goes on as always. It's an important time for production folk. As has been the case with the last few conventions, this year's will mark yet another stage of advancement in digital content creation, not just in terms of the technological achievements going on but in terms of the prevalence of digital work in all facets of commercial production. ![]() 1 yr.
