Apple Inc. has hired a senior Tesla executive who helped design two of the company’s forthcoming cars, the Roadster supercar and semi-truck. Michael Schwekutsch left Palo Alto-based Tesla Inc. last month as a vice president of engineering, a role in which he was in charge of improving Tesla’s drivetrain: its motor, transmission and axles. He holds more than 100 patents related to automotive design, and has worked on the Tesla Model 3, Porsche 918 Spyder, BMW i8 and Fiat 500e, according to LinkedIn…
