Apple regains title of most valuable company on the planet

Apple Inc. on Wednesday again climbed to the top of the list of the world’s most valuable companies, with a market cap crossing $821 billion. That’s slightly higher than Microsoft Corp. ($813.4 billion), Amazon.com ($805.7 billion) and Alphabet Inc. ($778.9 billion). From there, it’s a steep drop to fifth and sixth place, held by Berkshire Hathaway Inc. ($507.1 billion) and Facebook Inc. ($486.5 billion). Apple’s value crossed the $1 trillion mark in August, and peaked in early October. But…
