Apple Inc. executive Johny Srouji is taking over management of the company’s modem chip design team as the iPhone maker faces a chilly relationship with chip partner Qualcomm Inc. and races to release a 5G-compatible iPhone, Reuters reports, citing two unnamed sources. The project had previously been led by Rubén Caballero, who heads up Apple’s wireless system design engineering group.
