Apple’s Next iPad Pro Spotted With Mystery Device Ahead of October Event

Is a new iPad Pro just around the corner? A Thursday report claims Apple has registered a series of new devices with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, suggesting the next-generation tablet may be joined by a mysterious device that could be a new Apple Pencil. The MySmartPrice report notes that Apple has registered product numbers A1876, A1980, and A1993. This corresponds to similar filings with the Eurasian Economic Commission filings spotted back in July, but the July filings also showed unexplained numbers for A2013, A1934, A1979, and A2014. Alongside these new findings, the publication notes a device with model number A2051 that could correspond to a new version of the Apple Pencil, the $99 stylus that uses Bluetooth to communicate with the tablet.
